Christmas and “Illumination” in Tokyo

Every year, Tokyo and other areas around Japan light up in celebration of Christmas.

This season is generally viewed as a time for couples to check out the beautiful light displays in the area. Moreover, it’s a time to reserve buckets of chicken from KFC and order Christmas cake to celebrate over; not as romantic as most western countries, but a fun experience nonetheless.

What’s the value in this article?

This article will attempt to show you the perfect merging of Japanese culture and American entertainment. I recently made a mid-winter (not recommended) trip to DisneySea in Tokyo. I thought it was going to be just a full-out American style place but was pleasantly surprised to see that they had actually incorporated some Japanese culture into their products.
